The Wheel Of Time TV Series Cast Officially Revealed
Late last year, Amazon issued a challenge to the popularity of HBO’s Game of Thrones with the reveal that the company had given the green light to a TV adaptation for The Wheel of Time, a book series that was written mostly by Robert Jordan, then completed by Brandon Sanderson after his passing. Not much news on the series has surfaced since then, with the exception of the recent reveal that Rosamund Pike had been cast as the Aes Sedai Moiraine. Now, Amazon has announced that it has found its cast for the majority of what will be the series’ regulars.
The news comes by way of Amazon itself, which revealed an initial cast list for its upcoming The Wheel of Time TV series. From left to right, joining Rosamund Pike is Madeleine Madden (Dora and the Lost City of Gold), playing the part of Egwene Al’Vere. Josha Stradowski (Just Friends) plays the part of Rand Al’Thor, considered the central protagonist of the story. Marcus Rutherford (Obey) plays Perrin Aybara, one of Rand’s friends. Joining them is Zoë Robins (The Shannara Chronicles) as Nynaeve, one of the leaders of the village where Rand grew up. Last but not least, Barney Harris (Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk) has been cast as Mat Cauthon, another of Rand’s friends.
The Wheel of Time TV series is currently in development.
