Ronda Rousey Livestreaming Channel Will Begin By Playing Pokémon For Australia (VIDEO)
The internet has helped expand the video game industry in numerous ways, but livestreaming has become one of the foremost to expand the reach and cultural ubiquity of gaming as a second-hand entertainment form. With sites like Twitch, Mixer and YouTube Gaming, communities have formed around popular streamers, turning them into celebrities in their own right. Famous figures outside of gaming have also gotten into livestreaming, such as Jack Black, Snoop Dogg, and even Bernie Sanders. Another celebrity with a fondness for gaming is former UFC fighter and WWE wrestler Ronda Rousey and now a new Ronda Rousey livestreaming channel is taking her gaming fandom to the next level.
Ronda Rousey recently announced her new livestreaming channel on her official Facebook account. Fittingly, the announcement video shows Rousey waking up to play Pokémon on Nintendo Switch whilst wearing an Espeon kigu—reflective of her previous declarations of fandom for Pokémon. It seems that the new Ronda Rousey livestreaming channel will be exclusive to Facebook Gaming, with the first stream to commence this next Tuesday, February 18th at 3 pm.
Game streaming is one of the rawest and most authentic mediums, and the time is right for me to jump into the stream exclusively on Facebook Gaming with the #RowdyOnes. My first stream is gunna be on February 18th at 3pm PST– I’ll donate 100% of proceeds from the first stream to Australian bushfire recovery efforts. Fb.gg/RondaRousey

This stream will be even more special because 100% of the proceeds earned from this first stream will be donated to wildlife recovery efforts related to the disastrous fires that recently affected Australia. Rousey is set to begin streaming consistently thereafter, suggesting Sunday or Monday mornings as a weekly timeframe, but it is currently unsure of the specifics. Still, for Rousey fans that also love gaming, this is quite an exciting new venture for the UFC legend to embark on. Hopefully, when it comes to both shiny Pokémon and viewers, Rousey can catch ’em all.
