Bernie Sanders, the United States Senator of Vermont state, announced his candidacy for the 2020 presidential election. His popularity with young and progressive voters have earned him quite the reputation in the political going-ons of the country. As the first round of democratic debates begin, Sanders and team have implemented different methods to broaden their reach, and that includes launching a Twitch channel.
During an interview, Bernie Sanders’ team said their aim is to include as many politically active and potentially interested individuals in on the conversation as possible. In order to do so, his team wants to utilize all platforms already availablemto encourage active discussions and open debate. “We’re moving toward doing a lot more live content on Twitch, YouTube, and Facebook, tapping into an audience where there’s not a lot of political content already,” the digital communications director for the Sanders campaign informed Vox.

However, pausing between your favorite streamers on Twitch, you may find yourself wandering over yonder to see what all the hubbub is about. So far, it seems like Bernie Sanders is the only candidate thus far to create a Twitch channel. What a trailblazer!
