PS5 DualSense Controller Gets A Side-By-Side Shot With DualShock 4
With the arrival of the PlayStation 5 a mere 4-5 months away, new details have begun to continuously trickle out from the Sony camp on what to expect from the next-gen console. Most recently, a new picture has been revealed showing off a side-by-side comparison shot between the PS5 DualSense controller and the PS4’s DualShock 4.
The new image comes by way of Geoff Keighley as part of this year’s ongoing Summer Game Fest. Revealed by Keighley in a recent tweet, the image plainly shows the PS5 DualSense controller next to the PS4’s DualShock 4, revealing that the former is a bit wider and taller than the current-gen’s handheld. While the size differential is noticeable, we still don’t know much about the heft of the new controller. Thankfully, Keighley has once again come to our rescue, confirming that the PS5 DualSense controller is slightly heavier than the DualShock 4. Now that we have an approximation of the controller’s size and new features, all that’s really left to discover are the possible alternative color variants. Sony has remained rather quiet on possible post-launch options, though PlayStation’s Worldwide Marketing Head Eric Lempel recently said that it was difficult enough getting base console out into the world, and that “we’ll talk about that at some point.”
The PlayStation 5 is slated to release at some point this Holiday 2020.
