Nintendo Switch NES Controllers Half Off For Switch Online Subscribers

Nintendo Switch NES Controllers Online Special Offers

The Nintendo Switch has been an overwhelming success for Nintendo and the gaming giant continues to find ways to provide online support for the system. While Nintendo Switch Online took some time to get off the ground, Nintendo has given subscribers the benefits of online multiplayer as well as a playable collection of NES and SNES games–complete with a pair of retro-styled controllers. Not one to let the NES lose favor, Nintendo has announced a new discount that prices Nintendo Switch NES controllers at half-off for Nintendo Switch Online subscribers.

Announced on the official Nintendo of America Twitter account, Nintendo revealed that Nintendo Switch Online subscribers will have the opportunity to purchase a pair of Nintendo Switch NES controllers at a 50% off the original price. Normally, the bundle of two NES Switch controllers sells for $59.99, but now the pair can be purchased at a much lower $29.99 until January 10th.

As per the official Nintendo store listing, this amazing deal does have a few caveats, notably that only one pair of controllers can be purchased per Nintendo account. The controllers are also confirmed to work with the Nintendo Switch Lite, but it is noted that they will still need a regular Nintendo Switch with Joy-Con docks on the side for battery charging. Still, for Switch owners looking to play the NES online library as authentically as possible, these controllers are the best way to play with power. Nintendo power!
