Fan Creates Blast from the Past with Potential Joy – Con Design for the Nintendo Switch
For as long as most fans will remember, Nintendo has been throwing out some pretty cool alternate console designs. Many players will remember the colored cartridges and controllers, occasionally even the console itself being different colors on the Nintendo 64, Gamecube, or even the Gameboy Color. The Gameboy Advances even had some sweet designs with matching accessories. Other systems have had multiple color differences but never to the extent of Nintendo. The Switch however has two standard designs. It seems Nintendo fans have taken notice of this and have begun to take matters into their own hands, drawing up concepts of designs that they hope can be turned into something Nintendo might possibly use. One of these fans has created a potential Joy- Con design that is reminiscent of Nintendo’s coolest color schemes.
Throughout Nintendo’s history, they’ve incorporated multiple color schemes in their products, and fans have loved them for it. But towering above them all was the coolest of schemes, the transparent design. As a fan who has the classic, see-through purple Gameboy Color, it would be quite pleasing to see a legitimate similar color scheme for the Nintendo Switch. Nintendo has a few different colors for the transparent design, like the Jungle Green controllers and console for the N64, or the see through purple Gameboy Color, even the 3DS had a somewhat clear red or blue scheme.
At the moment, the Nintendo Switch is still new – so it might be too much to hope for any potential Joy-Con designs to make it out to the public. That being said, Nintendo has quite a bit of history invested in the transparent color schemes so it might not be too far of a stretch to assume that it will be available at some point. Especially if there was a major part of the fan base who would buy such a thing.
