PlayStation 5 Games Lineup Will “Soon” Be Revealed By Sony
After a while of waiting, the next generation of consoles will finally greet awaiting fans later this year. The likes of Xbox and Sony have shown immense promise through their respective hardware, though, both have left plenty to be revealed in the months before each consoles’ release. Though details regarding the PlayStation 5 have been comparatively held closer than the competition, it appears that this information gap might soon be filled with the unveiling of oodles of next-generation games.
Sony CEO Kenichiro Yoshida teased as much in a recent interview with Bloomberg‘s Takashi Mochizuki, suggesting “a strong lineup of PS5 games” will “soon” be announced by the company. Nothing else was divulged about these plans, though, such a statement would appear to hint at some kind of reveal happening in the near future. Yoshida’s statement has been one of a few official words uttered about a potential reveal and while still purely speculation, also seems to line-up with rumors of a PlayStation 5-themed event happening in June.
My latest on Sony: CEO spent time to explain why it is making its financial arm wholly owned, but also said “we will soon be announcing a strong lineup of PS5 games.” https://t.co/ki414zu5Fw

With only a few phrases to go off of, it’s currently unknown what form Sony’s PlayStation 5 games reveal could take, especially in an unpredictable time as right now. With just over six months remaining in 2020, a full lineup would need to be established sooner rather than later, especially on the heels of a spectacular tech showcase of Unreal Engine 5 on PS5. On the other hand, Microsoft is currently leagues ahead in terms of reveals, having shown off its console design, numerous features, as well as several notable releases planned for the Xbox Series X.
The PlayStation 5 is scheduled to release sometime in Holiday 2020.
