Yakuza: Lika A Dragon Emerges For Xbox Series X (VIDEO)

Yakuza Like a Dragon

Yakuza: Like A Dragon had its debut trailer revealed during the Inside Xbox event that showcased all the games heading to Xbox Series X. Heading to said console day one, Yakuza: Like A Dragon features a brand new protagonist – Ichiban Kasuga – a loyal and passionate yakuza grunt who was betrayed by the man he trusted most. Now he’s ready to bite back.

“Become Ichiban Kasuga, a low-ranking yakuza grunt left on the brink of death by the man he trusted most,” reads the official synopsis of Yakuza: Like A Dragon. “Take up your legendary bat and get ready to crack some underworld skulls in dynamic RPG combat set against the backdrop of modern-day Japan.”

As seen in the trailer above, Ichi serves time in jail in place of another Yakuza member. To prove his loyalty and worth to the group he serves. Upon Ichi’s release, he finds there’s no one to greet him and a confrontation with his former boss leaves Ichi bloodied and near death instead. Set in modern day Yokohama, players will start a new life, assembling a motley group of people to aid you in an endeavor to seek vengeance.

Yakuza: Like A Dragon will debut in the West on PC and Steam, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Xbox Series X later this year.
