Overwatch Fan Terry Crews Visits Blizzard HQ – Truth to the Rumors of Him Becoming a Hero?

It’s no secret that Blizzard’s games draw fans from all walks of life, many of which happen to be celebrities. Dave Chappelle, Natalie Portman, and Mila Kunis all are among fans of the company’s most prolific property, World of Warcraft and even the late hollywood legend Robin Williams (long-time fan of the series) has an in game memorial. It appears the developer’s newest title Overwatch is no exception. Reddit surged with excitement after The Expendables and Brooklyn Nine-Nine star Terry Crews made public his interest in voicing an Overwatch character “I would LOVE TO PLAY DOOMFIST“, Crews wrote via a reddit thread a few weeks ago.

That excitement quickly turned into a fever and rampant speculation after Crews posted a picture to his official Facebook account revealing that he’d actually been to Blizzard headquarters. As you can see below the star seems to be really hyped after his visit although we really don’t know any specifics or the nature of his meeting with the powers that be. Fans are really hoping that this may mean that Crews has landed a voice role for the game.

LOVED my visit with the geniuses at BLIZZARD ENTERTAINMENT today, and meeting the creators of one of my favorite games! OVERWATCH! LETS GO!

This wouldn’t be the first time the actor has leant his voice talents to the videogame industry. Crews took over the voice acting duties for the late Michael Clarke Duncan on the title Saints Row IV after his sudden passing. It’s also not often that celebrities offer their talents to game developers. In fact, most of time the video game companies are the ones seeking meetings to recruit talent. As any dedicated voice actor can tell you, the job has its own unique set of challenges and it’s definitely great to see Terry Crews eager to broaden his sphere with regard to different forms of acting. Nothing has been confirmed as of yet but we’re pretty stoked about the possibility of seeing this talented comedic actor take own the role of an Overwatch character be it the mysterious DoomFist or not.

Based on the photo and comments Terry Crews has made, what do you think the chances are that we’ll hear his familiar voice in Overwatch? Are you a fan?
