New Monster Hunter Movie Trailer Shows Off The Iconic Meowscular Palico Chef (VIDEO)

Monster Hunter

The Monster Hunter franchise has always been rich with a variety of not just monsters, but humans and humanoid creatures as well. The Felyne Palicoes have been a staple of the franchise for a long time, with Monster Hunter RISE set to bring Canyne Palamutes to the center stage. While the upcoming live-action Monster Hunter film has proven that it has plenty of monsters for Milla Jovovich’s character to contend with, it was previously announced that the film will also include Palico companions in at least some capacity. Now, we finally have our first look at how the Meowscular Chef appears within the movie.

A recent Chinese trailer for the Monster Hunter film has arrived showing off more of what fans can expect from the movie. Out of all the incredible action sequences the trailer shows off, the ending is arguably the best. The iconic Meowscular Chef makes an appearance, just long enough to presumably make a kissy-face at Milla’s character, Artemis, before the trailer ends. Check it out below:

We know from a previous interview with director Paul W.S. Anderson that the Meowscular Chef just so happens to have a thing for Artemis. “We have one of the characters, Meowscular Chef, who’s the Admiral’s sidekick, who’s a fantastic character, who has this rather flirtatious relationship with Milla, which is really interesting,” Anderson said at the time. Here’s hoping we’ll get to see more of the Meowscular Chef in action when the movie drops later this year.

The Monster Hunter movie is expected to release on December 20, 2020.
