Red Dead Online PlayStation 4 Exclusive Monthly Content Revealed

Red Dead Online

Since Red Dead Online launched its beta program last year, PlayStation 4 players have been able to reap the benefits of an agreement between Rockstar Games and Sony, allowing them access to all kinds of goodies such as early access to new weapons, horses, clothing, and even game modes. Now, it appears this partnership will continue with PlayStation 4 players being able to receive new content every month just for playing the game.

A recent PlayStation blog post reveals that PlayStation Plus members will be getting a new benefit for their console of choice in the form of “special rewards” that will be given out on a monthly basis. The first of these rewards will be three free treasure maps that players can receive by going to a Post Office or the Player’s Camp Lockbox. The reward will be sent out to players within 24 hours of the first time they log in beginning June 10th. So long as players are able to log in by July 8th they’ll be able to these treasure maps that can contain anything from the coveted Gold Nuggets to money, supplies, and even crafting recipes.

As for what players can expect to see for further monthly rewards it has yet to be revealed by Rockstar, but regardless of what is in store for PlayStation 4 players, it’s hard to say no to free loot. Red Dead Redemption 2 and its online counterpart are available for Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
