Mass Effect Legendary Edition First-Person Mod Released
The video game industry has many beloved franchises, among which the Mass Effect franchise may have one of the most passionate fanbases out there. Mass Effect fans have rallied hard for a remastered version of the original Mass Effect trilogy of games, and their wishes were finally met with the recently released Mass Effect Legendary Edition. The Mass Effect fan community has shown their creativity in art, cosplay and mods in the past. Now, a talented modder has released a new Mass Effect Legendary Edition first-person mod that lets players see the Mass Effect universe through Captain Shepard’s eyes.
Jade Barker has released their new Mass Effect Legendary Edition first-person mod on Nexus Mods. The mod does exactly what it suggests: the player as Captain Shepard will now be able to see the world of Mass Effect from a first-person perspective in exploration modes during the game. This will allow players to see the newly remastered and highly-detailed versions of the Mass Effect environments and landscapes with even more clarity of vision, as if the player was behind Shepard’s eyes. It should be noted though that combat sections of the game will revert back to the third-person perspective, as BioWare intended. Given that the game was designed for third-person perspectives, more involved sections involving combat would be more difficult in first-person view.
Jade Barker has had plenty of experience modding the Mass Effect games, having crafted everything from a first-person mode for the original version of Mass Effect 2, to a bizarre Bee Movie-themed mod for the original version of Mass Effect 3. They have also made other mods for the Legendary Edition, including mods that mute the launcher music and improve the camera. This new Legendary Edition first-person mod is sure to excite veteran fans hoping to see their favorite series from a literally new perspective.
