Latest Code Vein Screenshots Introduces Weapons and Two More Characters (GALLERY)

Code Vein is a JRPG being developed and published by Bandai Namco and Shift with a tentative early 2018 release window. Though it may seem far off into the horizon, there’s no shortage of early tidbits on what to expect in the game. Not only are expectant fans getting an expansive character customization option for the main character, allowing players to make him or her in any image they want. More interested in seeing what the game has to offer in terms of weapons? Seen in the gallery below, the latest Code Vein screenshots show that players have a wide array of choices to choose from.

Between the heavy-hitters like a great hammer, a giant halberd, or two-handed sword, others wishing to take a more strategic approach can equip themselves with the bayonet or one-handed sword. Each category of weapon have their own unique “weapon actions” as well. Whether the player is looking to kite opponents or deal as much damage possible within health limits – the choice is yours. Given how difficult the game is supposed to be, any and all help is welcome.

Gamers also get to see what The Queen’s Knight looks like as well, a minion of the recently revealed main antagonist of Code Vein. It’s savage and deadly. Those seeking a challenge may want to get well-acquainted with the mechanics before going up against it. He arrives fully equipped with “a spear, shield, and two knives on the back”, and a wide range of movement and attacks.

Queen’s Knight: This human type lost is fully equipped with a spear, a shield and two knives on the back. He can use single, double, sharp and wide attacks and when its energy goes down he can change phase and become more aggressive. All of these elements will make him tougher to beat and will prove the player’s skills.

Furthermore, two more story characters have been revealed to the public – introducing Eva Roux and Jack Rutherford, the latter of whom can be seen in the latest Code Vein Tokyo Game Show story trailer. Both characters are Revenants with a “twisted path” that winds up crossing with the main character. These two can join the party in dealing some major damage.
