Destiny 1 PlayStation Exclusive Content Now On Xbox For Some Reason

Destiny 1 PlayStation

Sony holds an agreement with Activision that allows them to receive timed exclusive content for Destiny and Destiny 2. This means players on other platforms will have to wait in order to receive the same content. In the case of Destiny 1, Xbox players had to wait about a year for most of the content to release, and in the case of one of the expansions, a whopping two years. The last of the Destiny 1 PlayStation exclusives are now available for the Xbox players to enjoy featuring strikes, cosmetics, Crucible maps, and more – which is perfect, since the first Destiny is effectively a ghost town with the sequel’s release.

Destiny 1 first released in 2014 featuring a total of 6 strikes, one of which was a PlayStation exclusive. The Dark Below released later that year bringing more content similar to the base game and focused on the Hive. The House of Wolves expansion released in May of 2015 and brought with it a new challenges, and although there was not a new Raid – it did bring the Prison of Elders; a wave based arena. The last of the expansions, The Taken King which released late 2015 and the Rise of Iron in 2016, introduced new variations of enemies almost making them entirely new altogether. Each expansion brought something new to the game, though some were trapped behind a timed exclusive wall for Xbox players. The downside unfortunately is that Destiny 2 is now available for both consoles, and the addition of the former exclusive content it might be too little, too late.

Destiny 2 is available for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 with a release on PC arriving on October 24th. Is it too little too late for the Xbox players to be receiving all this new content on Destiny 1?
