Elden Ring Speedruns Already Under 30 Minutes (VIDEO)

Elden Ring Speedruns

So far in the 21st century, the internet has allowed gamers to enhance their exploits through communication with other gamers. One unique phenomenon brought on by the internet has been the prevalence of speedrunners in various gaming communities. Players can now log their record-breaking playthroughs with others online, and often see these records beaten by competition just as quickly. Elden Ring has been dominating a lot of the online gaming conversations lately, especially on social media and review aggregate sites. Now, it is already being reported that Elden Ring speedruns are clocking in under thirty minutes.

Distortion 2 has been sharing updates on their Elden Ring speedruns through their YouTube and Twitter accounts since the game’s launch. After first focusing on sharing the entirety of their first playthrough of the game on their channel, they then focused on speedrunning the game as quickly as possible. Their first uploaded speedrun set the record at 49 minutes and 29 seconds. After making roughly one new attempt each day since, Distortion 2 soon shared a new run completed in under a half-hour, at 29 minutes and 27 seconds.

It was not long after that Distortion 2 then shared the full recording of the first of their Elden Ring speedruns videos to show a completion under half an hour, with this one coming in at 28 minutes and 39 seconds. The speedrunner has only kept up their efforts and pace, and as of writing, has gone as far as 28 minutes and 15 seconds as their lowest playthrough time thus far. Any of these would be an amazing achievement, but for Distortion 2 to keep beating their own records so consistently is quite a feat. Hopefully, they keep blowing us away with their achievements and persist in the world of Elden Ring, as a source of inspiration for all of us trying to venture into that fantasy world.
