NetherRealm Studios has been rolling out character after character for their upcoming fighting game Injustice 2. Each roster addition so far has had special gameplay footage showing off a DC super’s fantastical moves and distinct fight style. Guess what? We have another Injustice 2 character trailer, everyone! This time the action-packed video showcases the villainous Brainiac, hot off the heels of his world-ruling story trailer last week. The newest Brainiac trailer shows off the all-knowing foe’s move set largely centered around his augmented robotic arms. Take a look in the video below:

From the get-go, Brainiac establishes his dominance on the battlefield, taking on his nemesis Superman with ease, as is the case in the comics as well. While sporting some imposing hand-to-hand moves, this version of Brainiac’s fight style also features heavy use of the character’s robotic arms, which are useful in grappling and sending furies of metallic punches into the skulls of enemies.

The Brainiac trailer also makes a point to show the character’s extended control of his ever-present Skull-Ship, which usually doubles as both a spacecraft and storage of his consciousness. The hovering base can aid Brainiac during fights, capable of firing lasers and other projectiles down onto the level. This feat on full display during the character’s Super Move, where four robot minions restrain an opponent while Brainiac’s Skull-Ship fires on full blast, completely obliterating anyone in its path.

There’s less than a month remaining before Injustice 2‘s May 16th release for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The quickly approaching date means we can expect numerous surprises before we get to play the game for ourselves, including an upcoming mystery character reveal scheduled for later this week. When the news hits, Don’t Feed the Gamers will be there hovering above it.
