Boom! We have another one, people! It seems we can’t go a single day without seeing something about the NetherRealm Studios’ upcoming fighting game Injustice 2. Just this week saw The Flash’s time-bending powers showcased, a rundown of the fighter’s custom Gear system, and a mystery character tease to be revealed later this month. Now we’re getting a look at the terrifying villain Scarecrow’s chain-based move set which you can view in the trailer below:

The trailer begins when Batman encounters Scarecrow as the villain is releasing a large cloud of his signature fear gas, a toxin that makes victims hallucinate their most internal fears. It makes sense then that Scarecrow would transform into a horrific nightmare creature brandishing a large chain-hook, presumably to prevent opponents from running away in sheer terror.

The scary character’s attacks consist of both physical hook attacks and seemingly mystical conjuring and teleportation abilities. The most heart-stopping of these is Scarecrow’s Super Move, which the villain drags enemies to a nightmare realm where they are smashed repeatedly into the ground of a grim graveyard.

There’s just over a month left until Injustice 2 makes its way to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The imminent May 16 release means we can expect NetherRealm and WB Games to ramp up the hype train to full speed ahead. When the next bit of news comes along, check it out here on Don’t Feed the Gamers.
