Activision just released further details on the holiday DLC they will be releasing for those playing Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare and Modern Warfare (Remastered edition). They will also be running an event called the 12 Days of Winter starting December 21st until January 1, where gifts and loot will be offered to players everyday for simply logging in. Prizes range from “Salvage and Key bonuses, winter-themed personalization [sic] items, and winter-themed Common, Rare, and Legendary prototypes.”

First off, Call of Duty would like to reward players who own Infinite Warfare and Black Ops III with an Epic rarity handgun called Hailstorm – Thunder. It has two perks, sort of. First, Whirlwind gives you a fast cycling automatic three-round burst. The downside? It increases recoil. Second, Focus lessens the idle away when you aim down sights. It is gorgeous.

The Genesis Holiday Map will head to Infinite Warfare later this month.

Modern Warfare Remastered is getting some love too. Players will get the last 6 remastered maps – Bloc, Countdown, Pipeline, Showdown, Strike, and Wet Work. Also, bonus – the game modes Hardpoint and Gun Game will be available for the game! The Winter Crash map will be available as well. Don’t forget to ready your ears, folks. The holiday maps for both games will host a 24/7 musical playlist. Yay.
