Infinite Warfare DLC “Courage” – 100% of Proceeds Helping to Support Veterans

Activision is in the giving spirit in time for the holidays with a new Infinite Warfare DLC. Call of Duty Endowment (C.O.D.E.), a charity that helps raise money to help find veterans jobs, has started a new campaign with their latest personalization pack called “Courage”. All proceeds from the DLC will go the charity.

The Infinite Warfare DLC comes with such cosmetic upgrades as a weapon camouflage, accessory, emblem, reticle and animated calling card. The Call of Duty Endowment comes in a patriotic red, white, and blue colors in honor of the veterans. Today, December 7th, being the 75th anniversary of the Pearl Harbor attacks, this could be a simple and effective way to honor our fallen, and those who have returned from war. You can get a peek at the pack below.

The release is being marked by Infinity Ward, partner to Call of Duty Endowment, who worked on this special Infinite Warfare DLC. They plan to have a livestream event on December 9th, beginning at 11 AM PST. The stream will feature developers, voice actors, community members and even some special guests. Head of Infinity Ward Dave Stohl had this to say about the new pack:

“Infinity Ward is thrilled to partner with the Endowment to support getting vets back to work. We’ve poured our hearts into making the incredibly cool, specially themed C.O.D.E. Courage personalization pack. The pack features more ways than ever before to help players demonstrate their charity and show a willingness to help the most veterans possible as they come home from war and readjust to civilian life.”

For a little backstory, Call of Duty Endowment is a not for profit organization that was co-founded by Activision Blizzard CEO Bobby Kotick in 2009. Their mission? Identify and fund the most effect veterans organization with a focus on employment. Since their founding C.O.D.E. it has helped fund over 29,000 job placements, and has a goal of 50,000 by 2019. So you know your money is going to a good cause if you decided to buy the pack. Executive Director of C.O.D.E. had more to say on the subject:

“Through our previous mDLC personalization pack and calling card programs, the Call of Duty community contributed over $1.7 million to helping the veteran community and placed over 3,100 veterans into good jobs. Employment is vital to providing stability when transitioning from military to civilian life. Infinity Ward, Treyarch, Sony and Microsoft continue to be indispensable partners in this effort, as the in-game program would not be possible without their generosity and commitment. We are grateful for their continued support.”

The Infinite Warfare DLC was made available  on December 6th and can be purchased for $4.99 in both the Sony and Microsoft online stores. Keep in mind that 100% of the proceeds go to helping veterans find quality jobs. The in-game program has already placed 3,100 veterans, and your support could mean placing a whole lot more!

We couldn’t think of a better way to honor our veterans than to help them achieve a better quality of life. In fact, the two owners of Don’t Feed the Gamers themselves are veterans.
