Halo Infinite Season 2 Details Revealed; Co-op On The Way
Halo Infinite launched last year and while there were a lot of good things going for the title, some aspects felt a little weak or simply absent, such as the lack of co-op for the game’s campaign, multiple cosmetics issues during the first season, no Forge mode, and more. While the game has certainly improved over the course of the current season, there’s still plenty of content that players are still waiting to sink their teeth into. Thankfully, Season 2 is kicking off by introducing some more anticipated features on top of the lone wolf focus that it holds.
343 Industries revealed in a recent update on Halo Waypoint that the team has a solid list of goals that they plan to work towards for the approaching Season 2. Firstly, the developers are working hard to address issues that have negatively affected players since launch. Second, the launch of Season 2 is getting a greater focus, and lastly, the team hopes to keep working on delivering campaign co-op, Forge, and planning out further seasons.
As far as Season 2 is concerned, the content will be themed around “Lone Wolves,” referring to Spartans that work better alone, who are capable of hunting foes deep behind enemy lines with little to no support. The post shows off two such Spartans, Sigrid Eklund and Hieu Dinh who will be making appearances throughout the story of Season 2. This content will arrive in the form of cinematics, Battle Pass events, and rewards that allow players to embody the Lone Wolf theme.
While Halo Infinite’s Forge mode isn’t quite ready to be delivered in time for Season 2 to arrive, the 343 Industries explained that they do plan on having the feature sometime in Season 3. Campaign co-op play on the other hand is still expected to arrive in Season 2, though it won’t be arriving at launch, but sometime “later” in the season.
Halo Infinite season 2 is set to launch on May 3rd of this year and is expected to tun for about 3 months. Alongside all the core goodies players will be able to collect or experience, there will be some new maps coming as well though little information has been revealed about them at this time.
