Halo Infinite Concept Art Shows Off Mjolnir Mk. VII Armor And More
The Mjolnir Armor is iconic across the Halo franchise and video game armors in general. Over time, new versions have come out showing off enhanced capabilities through upgrades and sleek design choices. With Halo Infinite in development, it comes as no surprise that the developers have once more taken it upon themselves to recreate the legendary armor of Spartans. Now, fans have a chance to see what this sleek new powered assault armor looks like in all its glory thanks to some new concept art from 343 Industries.
The Cannon Fodder blog series on Halo Waypoint has been delving into some behind the scenes content surrounding lore within the universe, including Halo Infinite. Fans have already seen the Chief in Mjolnir Mark VI armor under the new art style that 343 Industries is bringing to Halo Infinite, but the latest installment in the blog series showcases another, more advanced armor called the Mjolnir Mark VII.
A second piece of concept art showcases a new enemy named Jega ‘Rdomna, who Chief will have to confront at some point in the upcoming fight. It’ll be interesting to see how either of these plays into the campaign, especially if Chief gets a new armor partway through the game since that hasn’t happened before.
Halo Infinite was originally set to arrive as a launch title for the Xbox Series X this Holiday season, but recently sustained a delay into 2021. Not much is known about exactly when to expect the highly anticipated title, but be sure to keep it tuned to DFTG as we learn more.
