GTA The Trilogy PC Version Unplayable On Rockstar Launcher, For Now
While Grand Theft Auto fans have been eagerly awaiting any news of a new GTA game, let alone the actual release of said hypothetical game, Rockstar Games had eased the anticipation of fans with the announcement of the Grand Theft Auto remastered trilogy releasing this year. Rockstar Games had opted to remove the previous versions of GTA III, Vice City and San Andreas in favor of this remastered trilogy, showing their commitment to these definitive versions. However, that may have worked against their favor on PC as the GTA The Trilogy PC version is currently unplayable for all users.
Services for the Rockstar Games Launcher and supported titles are temporarily offline for maintenance. Services will return as soon as maintenance is completed.

Rockstar Games has provided an update regarding the GTA The Trilogy PC version on their official Rockstar Games support Twitter account. Since the removal of the previous versions of the trilogy of games from sites like Steam, the classic games would only now be playable through the Rockstar Games Launcher, which would hold exclusive access to the games on PC and only the new remastered versions. However, it seems that maintenance on the site has led to an unexpected issue with not only the new remasters, but the entire Rockstar Launcher itself.
Not only is the GTA The Trilogy PC version unavailable for download or play, as of writing, but the entire Rockstar Launcher is offline as well. This means that all Rockstar games through the launcher are not working, including Red Dead Redemption 2. This site-disrupting issue from maintenance was addressed on the 11th, the day before the remastered trilogy released, but Rockstar has only provided an update once early this morning only to say that the launcher is still down. Hopefully Rockstar corrects the issue soon so that PC players can get back to revisiting the adventures of Claude, Tommy Vercetti and Carl Johnson.
