Watch: New God Of War Trailer Gives Us An Inside Look At Atreus, Son Of Kratos
The upcoming God of War title features the series protagonist Kratos and a new character, his son Atreus. Not much is known about Atreus at the moment other than he lived away from Kratos for a time with his mother. The latest God of Ward title sees the father and son team up as they adventure across the dangerous Norse wilds. In an attempt to sate fans’ thirst for answers, Santa Monica Studios has released a new trailer to give us a personal look at who Atreus is.
The video takes on the guise of a museum exhibit featuring images of Atreus. As the video progresses, a voice retells the story of Atreus on his first venture into the Norse wilds. It also explains some abilities and traits seen in-game, such as his high intellect and inquisitive mind. The trailer also features an intriguing ability to hear voices that others cannot, which is shown as he decides between following a call for help or a call to adventure and glory. After the trailer finishes Atreus’ tale, it showcases clothing which is worn by Atreus and Kratos, weapons, small totems, and various other historical artifacts from the Viking era.
The next in the God of War series is slated for a early 2018 release, though a recent leak has suggested a March 22nd date.
