God Of War: Ragnarok Release Date, Special Editions Revealed (VIDEO)

God of War Ragnarok Release Date

With the new generation of gaming consoles phasing out the older generation, the likes of the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X are seeing support from new exclusive games that take full advantage of their technological capabilities. One such exclusive game that PS5 owners have been waiting for has been God of War Ragnarok. The sequel to the universally acclaimed 2018 soft-reboot of the series has had fans eager to return to Kratos and Atreus’s paternal adventures, though little about the sequel has been revealed, even up to this point. Thankfully, the God of War: Ragnarok release date has been revealed by Sony.

Sony has released a new God of War: Ragnarok advertisement on their official PlayStation YouTube channel. The ad, titled “Father and Son,” is a cinematic clip that shows Kratos and Atreus on a snowy cliffside battling monsters. One monster’s explosive energy sends Kratos flying over the edge of the cliff, with enemies surrounding him upon landing. Quickly, his son Atreus comes to aid his father with his trusty bow and arrows. The pair are then seen gazing up at a large wolf, which would appear to be Fenrir from Norse mythology. After this reveal, the God of War: Ragnarok release date is also shown.

The ad confirms that the God of War: Ragnarok release date is set for November 9th of this year for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. Along with this ad, Sony also released a video unveiling the Collector’s and Jotnar’s Editions of the game. Both come with physical goodies, including physical Elven dice and a steelbook case for the game. They also include digital content, such as Darkdale armor for Kratos and Atreus. Both also include replicas of the game’s version of Mjolnir. God of War fans can rest easy knowing their favorite god-killing father is set to make his return soon.
