Fortnite: The Block Has Become A Huge Pyramid With "Secrets" Inside

The latest Fortnite content update has hit, adding quite a few goodies to Epic Games’ Netflix-rivaling experience. Among the addition of the Sneaky Snowmen, one of the most obvious changes players have noticed is the presence of a huge pyramid on the map, notably settled on top of the area where The Block usually sits.

The Block, a showcasing haven for particularly creative Fortnite players, has now been covered by a huge creator-made structure dubbed the “Omega Pyramid” in the game’s most recent patch notes. “The Block is now a Pyramid!” exclaimed Epic Games. “Drop into this massive structure created by Directingpete to discover the secrets it holds inside.”

Wow! Thank you Epic for choosing my Block to go into the game! I’m so grateful! This is so AWESOME!!!

Fortnite is no stranger to debuting secretive geometric shapes onto the map, as with the recent ice sphere event and last year’s storied saga of “Kevin” the purple cube. However, this “Omega” structure doesn’t seem to be another case of Epic’s affinity for mysterious glowing shapes, only the latest community showcase from The Block.

Ever since the creative area debuted, The Block has featured a number of player-made structures for a set period of time, changing at the advent of each new update. The Omega Pyramid is the latest to join these ranks, and already seems like a pretty majestic stage for players to engage in some lovely battle royale.

Fortnite is out now for Android, iOS, Nintendo Switch, Mac, PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
