Resident Evil 2 Demo Hack Leads To Brad Vickers Easter Egg (VIDEO)

With the Resident Evil 2 Remake a mere days away from launch, fans are currently getting as much as they possibly can out of the available media for the game, which includes the crafty 1-Shot Demo. Originally released earlier this month, the demo charges players with completing the available gameplay within a certain time limit, and players unable to do so will be locked out and unable to play through the demo again. Now, it appears that one player has chosen to instead cheat the system and go out of bounds, where they uncovered a rather hilarious easter egg.

YouTuber Nekorun recently published a video detailing their exploits during the Resident Evil 2 Remake’s 1-Shot Demo. While players are typically not allowed to move away from the RPD, the cheat used allowed Nekorun to do so, taking Leon Kennedy to some off-limits places within the game. Towards the end of the video, Leon is seen gaining access to a small save room that features a hilarious throwback to the ill-fated Brad Vickers from the original game. Check it out below:

As seen in the above video, the YouTube eventually makes their way into a small save room where they discover a recruitment poster for the R.P.D. On said poster we see none other than Brad Vickers, a character who met his untimely end during the events of the original Resident Evil 2. Thankfully we are spare from his grizzly fate this time around, though we don’t know yet whether or not we’ll encounter the character at some point during the Remake. We needn’t wait long to find out, as the Resident Evil 2 Remake launches on January 25th for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

So, thoughts on the easter egg? What other characters or enemies from the original game are you hoping to see in the remake?
