DMX Has Officially Been Modded Into Resident Evil 2 (VIDEO)

Resident Evil 2

Many gamers around the world have been diving head first into Capcom’s wonderful remake of Resident Evil 2. That said, Mr. X is back and more terrifying than ever, but that hasn’t stopped anyone from getting a good laugh out of the big baddie, including giving him a more appropriate theme song.

You may remember the hilarious video that popped up earlier this week, which featured Mr. X being his scary self set to the tune of DMX’s “X Gon’ Give It To Ya.” Well, after this was released, one modder by the name of DJ Pop decided something needed to be done to make this official in any way possible. This prompted them to create a mod that plays the aforementioned song at certain points in Resident Evil 2 when Mr. X is present. Check it out in action below:

According to the mod’s description, the song will coincide with Mr. X’s appearance in the following locations:

  1. Raccoon Police Department
  2. Parking Garage (Claire)
  3. Orphanage (Claire)
  4. Upper Sewers (Ada)
  5. Green House (Leon)

You can find the full instructions on how to install this mod right here. As for Resident Evil 2 itself, here’s more:

“In Resident Evil 2, the classic action, tense exploration, and puzzle solving gameplay that defined the Resident Evil series returns. Players join rookie police officer Leon Kennedy and college student Claire Redfield, who are thrust together by a disastrous outbreak in Raccoon City that transformed its population into deadly zombies.

“Both Leon and Claire have their own separate playable campaigns, allowing players to see the story from both characters’ perspectives. The fate of these two fan favorite characters is in players hands as they work together to survive and get to the bottom of what is behind the terrifying attack on the city. Will they make it out alive?”
