New Devil May Cry 5 Release Window Announced
The Devil May Cry franchise was in the news a fair share this past year, especially since the director himself presented news that the game was well into the making. The creator even went as far as to compare the game to the latest God of War title from the SIE Santa Monica Studio. More recent news involved a leaked information and even an official domain registration for this sequel, but it was finally revealed at E3 2018 with a stylish action-packed trailer. With all that being said, what does it mean for its impending arrival?
Capcom revealed several bare details of the upcoming game since its announcement. Though the announcement trailer revealed a Spring 2019 release date, it has since been confirmed that Devil May Cry 5 will arrive before the end of March. Technically, it’s still within the time-frame previously mentioned, but it just means it’s that much closer.
At first glance, Nero seems to be the face of the game, but the cover presented three different characters and it has been confirmed that the game will feature three playable characters – Dante, Nero, and V. But who is V? While there are plenty of theories on Reddit and Resetera, and a popular one seems to pinpoint the mystery character as Lady’s son. While interesting, only time will tell for sure.
DMC 5 will have players assume the role of one of three characters to go up against the demonic invasion that began in Red Grave City. Wielding his Red Queen and Blue Rose, and a new robot hand that gives him yet another one-up on the hordes of enemies. All of this takes place in the latest chapter of the “Sons of Sparda” saga. Of course, let’s not forget about the phenomenal graphics and visual fidelity, the same engine used for Resident Evil 7. It’s gorgeous despite the devilish setting.
Devil May Cry 5 will arrive by the end of March 2019 for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. Are you excited for the latest in the DMC franchise? Who are you looking forward to play as?
