New Destiny 3 Leak Reveals A Dangerous Enemy Race, Gameplay Details

New Destiny 3 Leak Reveals Darker Story, Gameplay Details

Ever since late last year we’ve begun hearing rumors about a purported Destiny 3, a title that will apparently be “more hardcore” and more representative of the kind of game that Bungie actually wants to make. This last fact was likely made possible due to the split between the developer and Activision, and now a new Destiny 3 leak has suggested that fans can look forward to some interesting gameplay changes and a new threat to the Guardians.

The news comes by way of ShadowofAnontheNine, a Redditor that has become known for accurately leaking Destiny details in the past. According to their Reddit post, the third Destiny title will see the introduction of a new enemy race called Astrodemons, known as the Veil. They are described as having “dark, greenish skin, sharp claws, and having a distinct stench of ‘wet earth’ as mentioned by Ada-1’s mother in the lore entries brought with Black Armory.” The Redditor also states that the Astrodemons are very powerful (naturally), so much so that they are even stronger than Guardians.

The Redditor also reports that Destiny 3 will feature open-world pvPvE areas “more akin to PlanetSide than to The Division,” and that the game will feature darkness-based abilities of some kind. An important thing to note that all the above details are unconfirmed, and should be taken with an even greater grain of salt as they are reportedly all early development decisions, and as such are subject to change.

While still unconfirmed, Destiny 3 is expected to release at some point next year.
