Destiny 3 Leak Speaks Of A Darker Guardian, Game Bungie Always Wanted

Destiny 3

The rumors are beginning to heat up surrounding the next installment in the Destiny franchise. A recent leak spoke of the future title, saying that it was going to be a more hardcore experience for everyone. The latest, however, adds to the same tone, letting fans know that a darker Guardian approaches in Destiny 3.

While the original leak stated that Destiny 3 should have a base version by now behind closed doors, another notable source chimed in that development is just beginning. “Nope. The development its starting right now. Chris Barrett game director. Luke Smith still there in a big role,” AnonTheNine responded with to the original poster. While they weren’t quick to provide more details, they eventually came around to offer up some specifics surrounding the rumored third entry.

According to them, Destiny 3 will boil down to the game Bungie has wanted to make from the start. Given the less than stellar reception to D2, which Forsaken has all but untarnished, players have felt betrayed and beaten. However, it would appear that the next entry might take some of the themes from the latest expansion, primarily the power of the Darkness.

Of course, we won’t know if any of this is true until the developers themselves begin speaking up, but that probably won’t be for some time. AnonTheNine reports that Destiny 3 won’t be arriving until 2020, so it could be at least another year before Bungie begins breaking out the glorious details. Given how well Forsaken has been received, it’s not entirely out of the question that the developers will be sticking to that route.

Unfortunately, only time will tell. Either way, keep it tuned to Don’t Feed the Gamers as this story develops, and for other gaming goodness going on right now, check out the following:
