Cayde-6 and Zavala Spit Some Rhymes In Hilarious Destiny 2 Rap Battle (VIDEO)
Fan-made rap battles are a dime a dozen and all too often they focus on cheesy rhymes and pop culture references rather than the song as a whole. On rare occasions, there are rap battles that come along which break these common issues to become a themed but still lyrically sound tribute. A Destiny 2 rap battle video by Dan Bull and Harry Partridge was recently featured as Bungie’s Movie of the Week and is definitely one worth listening to.
Zavala’s lyrics are slower and more deliberate, focusing on the plight of the Guardians – while Cayde-6 takes a fast and wild approach with his lyrics focusing mostly on his own glory and carefree attitude. The animation keeps up with the two different styles quite well and blends in some clips from the trailers in a very smooth manner. Towards the end of the video, the two begin to work together – finishing off the Destiny 2 rap battle on an almost awe inspiring end (had it not been for Cayde once more throwing off the rhythm).
Dan Bull has also created a rap for the original Destiny back in 2014, however this is the first is the first time he’s teamed up with Harry Partridge. Have you encountered any other great fan-made rap battles? Destiny 2 is available for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
