‘Crash Bandicoot: ‘N Sane Trilogy’ New Gameplay Video of Classic ‘Hang Eight’ Level (VIDEO)

Hang Eight

Hello nostalgia, my old friend. If you haven’t heard Vicarious Visions is bringing back Crash Bandicoot, originally developed by Naughty Dog, it was announced earlier this year that the game will be released this Summer. As luck would have it, PlayStation has released new gameplay footage of Crash Bandicoot: ‘N Sane Trilogy. The gameplay is from Crash Bandicoot 2’s Hang Eight level. Hopefully, this will tide fans over for a while:

Shown in the PlayStation tweet above, we see a beautifully remastered Hang Eight, complete with man-eating plants, dashing dashes, and of course -Crash being Crash. Heck, they even have the snazzy Crashified hover board section as well as the secret bonus areas. The remaster will include: Crash Bandicoot, Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strike Back, and Crash Bandicoot: Warped. So far, all signs point to a great things with Vicarious Visions taking the helm of this remaster. If you’d like to see a before and after comparisons of the remaster, you can check that out here.

While they may have used the original games geometry, they have also built the gameplay from the ground up. This includes features like a unified save and checkpoint system and menu system.  Of course, you can’t forget about remastered cutscenes, characters, and soundtrack. While initially releasing on the PlayStation 4 on June 30th, fans on other platforms have some hope of receiving it, if a mis-Tweet from the team is to be believed.

Are you excited for the Crash Bandicoot remaster? How about seeing a remastered Crash Team Racing or Crash Bash, wouldn’t that be ‘N Sane? Leave your thoughts in the section below. As always, check out Don’t Feed the Gamers on Twitter for 24/7 coverage of all things gaming and entertainment.
