KOTOR And Fallout New Vegas Writer Confirms He’s Attached To Upcoming Jedi: Fallen Order Game
Many Star Wars fans hold a great amount of nostalgia for the Star Wars video games that were released in previous gaming generations, particularly the PlayStation 2 and the original Xbox. During this generation, Star Wars game releases seemed to be more frequent, embody a variety of different genres, and largely focused on narratives that build upon the Star Wars universe. Fans have been excited at the prospect of the new Jedi: Fallen Order game, but recent updates to development have made some members of the Star Wars faithful cautious. However, some peace of mind may come now with the news that a KOTOR and Fallout New Vegas writer has been attached to Jedi: Fallen Order.
I can’t say 100% b/c of NDAs, but the ones I can say: I just finished up work with Jedi: The Fallen Order – and beyond that, there’s another big bomb dropping in a month! Er, I mean, maybe. Ahem.

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II and Fallout New Vegas writer Chris Avellone recently responded to a fan question about his current projects on his official Twitter account. Avellone confirms that has he served as a writer on the new Jedi: Fallen Order project, and that he recently finished up the last of his work on the game. Both KOTOR II and New Vegas are beloved games developed by Obsidian and regarded as having quality narratives and writing, so for many fans this paints the prospects of Fallen Order’s story in a positive light.
Not only this, but Avellone also hints at his involvement with an undisclosed big project, which he states will be dropping in another month. Coincidentally, this would be quite close to Star Wars Celebration 2019 in Chicago, where Jedi: Fallen Order is set to have a big presentation and show off gameplay, so perhaps we might hear more about this mystery game at that time? Still, for those that have enjoyed Avellone’s past writing, this is surely good news for meatbags across the galaxy.
