Capcom Reveals Resident Evil 2 Remake “Before and After” Comparison Screenshots

Resident Evil 2

Resident Evil 2 was a highly praised survival horror title made back in 1998. While the game has aged fairly well over the years, it’s due for an upgrade and thankfully, an upgrade is exactly what it’s getting. Capcom revealed that the title would be getting a remake back in August bringing with it a whole host of improvements from gameplay enhancements, visual/audio updates, and much more. In order to show off the graphical enhancements, Capcom recently released fresh set of side-by-side comparison images that are honestly quite impressive.

On the official Resident Evil Twitter account, Capcom released multiple posts pertaining to the upcoming remake. Among these are some which showcase just how different the title will be and how far Capcom has come since the days of the original. One of these images shows fans the Kendo Gun Shop, which featured a very 90’s sign and sits awkwardly in a corner. The remake version features an open street and the sign is now a sleek and modern neon sign.

Fans are already aware of the changes to Ada Wong, changing from her iconic red dress to more chic professional business attire. Seeing the comparison image only makes the change that much more apparent. Claire has also seen quite a few changes as well, evolving her look to a more modern jacket and pants.
