What’s New and What’s Leaving Netflix September 2017
It’s nearing the end of August, and with that comes two things: the weather finally starts to behave itself and new selections are coming to Netflix September 2017. Next month will see a number of long-absent films make a return, as well as a few new premieres of original programming. The stand-out inclusions consist of Disney’s new Beauty and the Beast remake, a third season of the thrilling drug lord drama Narcos, and season 7 of the zombie apocalyptic The Walking Dead.
The beginning of the month will see several favorites come back to the the streaming service, giving us another chance to view the homicidal shark-led Jaws films, Tarantino‘s classic shootfest Pulp Fiction, and several 90s-era Disney animations (Hercules, Pocahontas, and Mulan). Among the freshest selections coming to Netflix September 2017, the father-son bonding series Final Fantasy XIV: Dad of Light, Robin Williams’ last comedic performance Absolutely Anything, and The Magic School Bus reboot series will surely provide warm and fuzzy hearts for all.
New additions also, unfortunately, mean new subtractions for Netflix September 2017. In an apparent counter-move to the new Disney arrivals, Lilo & Stitch and The Emperor’s New Groove will both be removed shortly into the month. Popular Wes Craven horror films Scream and A Nightmare on Elm Street will also disappear, as will the long-running series’ CSI: Miami and Last Man Standing.
Recently, Netflix has seemingly expressed the desire to create more originals, having acquired the rights to Mark Millar’s Millarworld and the streaming rights of twelve new anime. This will add to the already large number of home-grown hits already on the service, including Stranger Things, The Defenders, and the anticipated premiere of The Punisher. Stay tuned to Don’t Feed the Gamers for more the latest gaming and entertainment news 24/7 and be sure to follow us on Twitter to be informed as soon as it goes live.
