Monster Hunter World: Iceborne’s Final Update Adds Fan-Favorite Dragon Fatalis

Monster Hunter World

The Monster Hunter universe has a plethora of beasts roaming the wilds, seeking prey and becoming prey themselves in a vast ecosystem of creatures. Some of these creatures are incredibly powerful and have become staples of the franchise, tormenting players across multiple titles. Now, one such fan-favorite monster is set to finally make an appearance in the current entry in the franchise, Monster Hunter World: Iceborne.

The final update for Monster Hunter: World Iceborne is set to arrive on September 30th of this year and will bring with it the iconic dragon, Fatalis. The monster won’t be merely a single fight but a full-on expansion to the story of Iceborne that will see players track the creature up to its roost in the ruins of Castle Schrade. There will be new characters to interact with including the General of the Guild and returning characters such as the excitable A-Lister. While in combat with Fatalis, players will be able to take advantage of the Dragonator, cannons, and ballistae to bring down the incredible quarry ripe with resources players can use to craft powerful new gear.

The update will also add a few other features such as the arch-tempered Velkhana, a Clutch Claw Boost skill that will help players wound monsters a little easier. Easily one of the best parts of the new update, though, is for sure going to be the Palico Armor set that will be available to craft using materials from the Fatalis, turning them into a mini version of the legendary monster that carries a hunter doll in its clutches as a weapon.

Monster Hunter World is currently available for PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4. Will you be hunting Fatalis for yourself?
