WATCH: New Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet Commercial And “Co-Sleeping” Details Emerge
Many fans of the hit anime Sword Art Online know that there is going to be a bit of a gap between the recently released movie Sword Art Online: Ordinal Scale and the next season of SAO, titled Sword Art Online: Alicization. Thankfully, Bandai Namco has been keeping said gaps filled with SAO games, the most recent of which – Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet – is arriving February 2018. The game is based off of the VRMMO featured in SAO season 2, called Gun Gale Online. Some new details have surfaced regarding Fatal Bullet, as well as a new commercial for the game. Check it out below:

The latest Fatal Bullet details are in regards to the sleeping mechanics found in-game, a feature that is found within many of the previous SAO titles. Known as “co-sleeping”, players can sleep alongside some of their favorite characters from SAO, though there are a few speculated stipulations that help keep the lines between anime and video game un-blurred. According to a source for Gematsu, the currently confirmed list of characters that can be “slept with” include Asuna, Sinon, as well as three others. That said, it appears that the potential sleep partners differ between game modes. It is suggested that only Kirito can co-sleep with the female characters from Sword Art Online, while a player-created avatar can only sleep with characters that originate from the upcoming Fatal Bullet game. Check out the official description of Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet from Bandai Namco below:
Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet brings an exciting twist to the popular action RPG series by adding third-person shooter elements into the game, forming a unique hybrid shooter/RPG/action title that balances gun and sword play with skill and gadget combat to create a new dynamic experience. Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet will feature an engrossing, original story supervised by Sword Art Online creator Reki Kawahara, that takes players into the world of “Gun Gale Online,” from the popular Sword Art Online II season of the series.”
Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet arrives on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One in Japan on February 8th, and on February 23rd for NA and EU markets. So, thoughts on the latest SAO details?
