Spider-Man: Homecoming Trailer 3 Shows Off the Web Slinger’s High Tech Suit (VIDEO)

spider-man homecoming trailer 3

Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios’ upcoming film Spider-Man: Homecoming is a highly awaited event for some, as it features everyone’s favorite web-head on his first solo adventure within the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The previous two glimpses have set up the new movie’s high school setting, dangerous winged villain, and a myriad of references to other MCU stories, but Homecoming Trailer 3 is different as it highlights the character’s enhanced super suit that houses all sorts of neat gadgets, courtesy of Iron Man himself, Tony Stark. Check it out in the video below:

The beginning of the trailer sees Peter Parker (Tom Holland) suit up as Spider-Man, presumably after a bit of upgrades. A voice is there to greet him from within the suit and begins a rundown of all of the different types of web shooters the suit has, which amounts to a whole lot. Footage then cuts to an exchange between Peter and Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) where the former excitedly asks when he’ll be able to join the Avengers again, to which Stark dismissively replies that he’ll get back to him.

The next part of the trailer goes through Peter’s daily life as Spider-Man, juggling school, hanging with friends, and his web-slinging hero work he decidedly refers to as a “Stark internship”. Along the way, Spidey catches the attention of the winged supervillain Vulture (Michael Keaton) and his team of heavily-armed baddies. Odds are, taking them out won’t be a walk in the park, especially as it’s discovered Peter’s Spider-suit is being nerfed by Stark, under the so called “training wheels” protocol. We’ll see if Spider-Man can overcome all the pressure when Spider-Man: Homecoming hits theaters July 17th.

What did you think of Spider-Man: Homecoming Trailer 3? Are the suit gadgets a cool addition, or does it make him too similar to Iron Man?
