Deadpool 2 Cable Actor Josh Brolin Shares Instagram of Him Getting Swole for the Role

Deadpool 2 Cable actor

One of the inclusions that will be made in the upcoming sequel to the very successful Deadpool film has been the confirmation that the movie will include Cable, the straight-laced hard-edged gunman often paired with the wise-cracking, fourth wall-breaking mercenary. Quite recently, we learned that Josh Brolin, best known for his work in The Goonies, No Country For Old Men, and as Thanos in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, would step into the role of Cable for the sequel. It’s quite well known the rigorous physical training that actors will undergo to portray lead characters in superhero films, and it appears that the Deadpool 2 Cable actor will not be an exception to the rule.

The video seen above was recently posted on the actor’s personal Instagram profile, showing Brolin undergoing an intense anaerobic exercise with the assistance of a personal trainer. Brolin has remained in relatively decent physical shape throughout his career, since his days of weight lifting as Brand in the presence of the rest of The Goonies, but he does appear to be “getting swole” to a greater extent than he has in recent history. It is not quite known if he has been undergoing any training since joining the MCU to play Thanos, but one can imagine that also being a factor, considering as well that he references the Mad Titan with a hashtag in this post.

Not much is known about the plot of this film, so it is unclear as to what sort of combat Deadpool and Cable will engage in, but with this kind of training Brolin is preparing with, one can reasonably expect heads, and other appendages, to fly.
