Rick And Morty Receives Massive 70-Episode Renewal

Rick And Morty Receives Massive 70-Episode Renewal

The Adult Swim phenomenon that is Rick And Morty recently left fans in a bit of a rut thanks to the comedy show’s uncertain future, though it appears now that things are about to get even more schwifty. Adult Swim has put in a massive order of 70 new episodes, which, based on the show’s history, amounts to seven more seasons. The 70-episode increase also puts Rick and Morty just one episode above 100, meaning the series can be syndicated. Check out the announcement from co-creator Justin Roiland, below:

In addition to the infinitely more mild reveal above, co-creator Dan Harmon uploaded a video announcement featuring the two co-creators, er, showering together. Because reasons. Warning, slightly NSFW.

Nothing this big has ever been seen in my shower

The exciting news is certainly a far cry from where the show left off, with varying reports suggesting that no one was working on the show while both Roiland and Harmon were waiting on news from Adult Swim. While we’ve no actual timeline for season four, at least we know new episodes are on the way. Maybe McDonald’s will roll out a new batch of Szechuan Sauce to celebrate?
