Players who have yet to pick up the latest Resident Evil title are in luck; Capcom has announced Resident Evil 7: Gold Edition which will release this winter for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. Like man other definitive editions, the Gold edition of the game will feature three of the game’s expansions including banned footage add-ons and a new DLC called the End of Zoe which will release at the same time as the Resident Evil 7: Gold Edition drops.

The “End of Zoe” DLC will heavily focus on the Baker’s daughter, Zoe. Taking place after the events of the main game, players will learn the fate of Zoe Baker who helps Ethan, the title’s protagonist, through a series of telephone calls on the Baker Ranch. The ending of the game left it unclear what happened to Zoe and will be explored in the upcoming expansion. The DLC will take players through new swamp environments and pit them against new terrifying enemies, check out the official trailer for it in the video below:

There’s one more add-on coming to the game regardless of whether players purchase Resident Evil 7: Gold Edition or not. The previously delayed “Not a Hero” DLC is a free expansion that was originally supposed to release this past Spring, but was pushed back by developers in order to bring the content up to the same high level of quality as the main game. The free DLC also takes place after the events of the main campaign and features series veteran Chris Redfield as he investigates the “horrors that lurk underneath the Baker mansion”.

Resident Evil 7 : Gold Edition will be available December 12th for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. Pricing has yet to be seen for the Gold edition of the title however the End of Zoe DLC will be available for players that own the season pass, or can be purchased individually for $14.99.
