Latest Resident Evil 2 Footage Shows Off Licker Gameplay (VIDEO)

Licky licky. These gigantic fellas were never the prettiest of the zombie bunch, but they’re certainly one of the most fearsome and gruesome looking. With those protruding brain, excessively long tongues, exposed flesh, and talons that nail on the damage, they’re essentially my worst nightmare. And thanks to the fine folks over at PlayStation Underground, the latest in Resident Evil 2 gameplay footage features the one and only Claire Redfield as she fights back.

As Claire Redfield struggles to find her way through the Raccoon City Police Department, she’ll cross paths with several enemy zombies, and that includes those worrisome Lickers. Yes, they’ll be clinging to ceilings and clambering around the floor in search for their next prey, so be vigilant. Their hellish screams will alert you mere moments before you’re jumped. While the footage below doesn’t seem nearly as terrifying to watch, playing it yourself is another story altogether. Check it out below:

The atmosphere of Resident Evil 2 has been enhanced for perpetually anxiety-ridden battles and those nervous pauses of anticipation in-between fights. Don’t say we didn’t warn you, but if you’re into the prospect of wearing adult diapers while enjoying a well-made horror game then that’s okay. There’s no judgement here.
