Kingdom Hearts III Officially Goes Gold With New Trailer (VIDEO)

Kingdom Hearts III Goes

Over the years, there have been many video games that have been the subject of jokes poking fun at their status in perpetual development. Duke Nukem Forever and The Last Guardian were at the receiving end of these jokes, until they both miraculously were completed and released after years of waiting. Kingdom Hearts III has perhaps been one of the most notorious with its last core entry being in 2005, and several spin-offs in-between. However, it seems these jokes can come to an end as Kingdom Hearts III has finally gone gold with a new celebratory trailer to boot.

Kingdom Hearts director Tetsuya Nomura recently made the announcement on the official Twitter account. According to Nomura, the game has finished development and will be ready for its planned January release date. Naturally, he also suggests that players begin preparing for its launch by playing the previous entries, all available in The Story So Far collection on PS4.

To celebrate, Nomura also shared a new trailer that will supposedly be played in North American movie theaters to promote the game. The trailer shows all of the Disney worlds confirmed in the game, with new footage and cut scenes for all of them. We even get some of the first glimpses of the Heartless boss battles that Sora and company will engage in that have been kept secret until now. So many anxious Kingdom Hearts fans can now breath a sigh of relief knowing it is finally completed.

Hopefully, these fans find Sanctuary in this news, and feel Simple and Clean tonight. Are you guys happy that Kingdom Hearts III finally has gone gold? Let us know in the comments below!
