Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart Will Support 60 FPS, Ray Tracing At Launch

As far as trailers and small teases are concerned, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is shaping up to be quite the impressive game. A wild and wacky story that fans have come to know and love from the series, reality-bending mechanics, and a slew of features designed to make the game look and sound incredible all await PS5 owners when the title releases later this month. Now, it’s also been revealed that a Day 1 patch for the game will implement a Performance RT Mode that lets the title run at 60 FPS with ray tracing.

Insomniac Games recently revealed that the upcoming Ratchet & Clank title will give players the ability to play the game at 60 FPS with ray tracing thanks to the new Performance RT Mode. Even better is that the feature will arrive debut in a Day 1 patch accompanying the title’s launch later this month. This is not dissimilar to the Performance RT Mode available in Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales and Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered on the PS5.

Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is set to arrive on June 11th of this year as a PlayStation 5 exclusive. The Performance RT mode and a whole host of accessibility features such as being able to adjust motion blur, screen shake, and contrast, or adjusting fire mode, auto-aim, and more will give players plenty of freedom when it comes to making the game fit perfectly in their proverbial hands.
