PUBG Zombie Mode Coming Soon With Player-Controlled Zombies (VIDEO)

PUBG Zombie Mode

There’s been a lot of new info coming down the vine for battle royale game PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, which is currently in Early Access on Steam.  Recently at E3 2017, developer Bluehole Studio revealed that the game would be receiving some much-needed movement features, such as climbing, vaulting, and diving.  Navigating around fences and low walls in the game has thus far proven to be a rather laborious task, and these upcoming features will definitely have a positive effect on the game’s overall flow of movement.  That said, it looks like these new movement abilities will be coming in handy for a different reason; The developer announced via Twitter that a PUBG Zombie Mode is coming soon, with player-controlled zombies.  Check out the teaser video below to see some of the PUBG zombies in action:

As seen in the video, the PUBG Zombie Mode will feature player-controlled zombies that have access to both standard scratch attacks and what looks like direction-based animation-locking finishers.  It is currently unknown how exactly the new mode will play, though it is probably a safe bet that squads or solo players that queue up for the mode will randomly be assigned the role of either zombie or human. The PUBG developers brought up the new Zombie Mode once more shortly after the reveal, stating that the new animations are solely for the PUBG Zombie Mode, and that the team would continue working on optimization for the “base” game mode.  There is currently no ETA for the new Zombie Mode.

In related news, the PUBG developers also announced that the game will be coming to consoles as an Xbox One exclusive via its Game Preview program in late 2017.  PUBG will also be available on the Xbox One X as an enhanced title in 2018.

So, thoughts on the upcoming PUBG Zombie Mode?  Looking forward to giving it a shot, or would you rather stick with the base game?  Let us know in the comments section below, and as always, stay tuned to DFTG for all the latest gaming and entertainment news!  Don’t forget to follow Don’t Feed the Gamers on Twitter for our 24/7 news feed!
