PlayStation Plus December 2021 Free Games Lineup Revealed

PlayStation Plus

2021 is nearly over and while the year hasn’t exactly been a stellar one for the gaming industry or the world in general, it has been good for fans subscribed to PlayStation Plus. Aside from providing users with online play and cloud services, PlayStation Plus subscribers have received a variety of free great games this year. As the year comes to a close, there is still one more month of free games for PlayStation Plus subscribers to enjoy. Now, Sony has unveiled the PlayStation Plus December 2021 free games for subscribers, and they close out the year quite well.

Sony recently shared the PlayStation Plus December 2021 free games for subscribers with a blog post on their official PlayStation website. The big highlight of the December offerings is the special Godfall: Challenger Edition, which consists of the endgame content modes Lightbringer, Dreamstones, and the Ascended Tower of Trials. This version of the game will be available for both PlayStation 4 and 5, and starts players off with max-level characters, gear and weapons. For the PS4 specifically, subscribers can also access Lego DC Super-Villains, which has a focus on classic DC villains like The Joker and Harley Quinn. Also available for PS4 is Mortal Shell, a single-player action-RPG that feels very much in line with a Dark Souls game.

The PlayStation Plus December 2021 free games also include several PS VR titles. The biggest is The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners, which puts players in a city never seen before in the Walking Dead zombie apocalypse: New Orleans. The Persistence gives players a VR experience set in a deep space colony starship riddled with mutated monsters. Lastly, Until You Fall is a game that blends sword-based combat with rhythm game mechanics in a unique way. PS Plus subscribers will close out the year with a strong line-up of free games, and hopefully 2022 provides even more.
