New Cyberpunk 2077 Patch Fixes One of The Biggest Problems On PC

Cyberpunk 2077

While Cyberpunk 2077 was one of the most anticipated games of this year, the title has seen quite a few issues since release ranging from minor inconveniences to some seriously game-breaking bugs. The controversy surrounding the title has become so widespread that certain platforms like the PlayStation Store temporarily de-listed the title, offering owners of the game full refunds. Thankfully, the developers at CD Projekt RED are hard at work to correct these issues, with the most recent Cyberpunk 2077 patch solving the save data issue on PC.

One of the highlights of Hotfix 1.06 involves the problematic 8 MB save file size limit that was discovered to permanently corrupt save files. The recent patch removes the size limit of players’ save files, though it unfortunately won’t do any good for already corrupted saves. The patch also fixed an issue where Dum Dum would go missing from the Totentanz entrance in the mission Second Conflict.

On the console side of things, the new patch improves memory management and overall stability, which should go a long way towards reducing game crashes. There’s still a long way to go before the game rises to the level of quality that players and the developers at CD Projekt RED expect from their games, though at least now the title is on the right track.
