Netflix’s The Witcher Release Window Announced, Arrives Next Year
It was earlier this Summer that the production team alongside writer Lauren S. Hissrich and a team of seasoned Marvel writers began casting for Netflix’s The Witcher series. As a matter of fact, it was at the beginning of this year that the script for the pilot episode was complete, and now fans are that much closer to seeing the series come to life. Hissrich officially announced the release window of the live-action series.
Though it wasn’t confirmed before, Hissrich initially revealed a tentative 2020 release year, but it seems the adaptation will arrive sooner than later. With a “shiny” new update, the official window is revealed:

Netflix’s The Witcher will feature an entire 8 episodes of Henry Cavill, who will assume the role of the iconic Geralt of Rivia. Casting selections have not been revealed for the other characters, but it has been promised that all characters are expected to appear in some way, shape, or form. Yes, that means Yennefer, Ciri, Jaskier, Roach, and others.
Whether you’re anticipating the release of this live-action adaptation of a popular novel or video game series or not, there’s no doubt that Hissrich and team have put their heart and soul into this production. Since the official announcement of its arrival from an idea on paper to casting, she’s been open with the fans throughout the process. They want to get it right.
