Netflix’s ‘The Witcher’ Cast Revealed
Those looking forward to Netflix’s upcoming ‘The Witcher’ series have quite a bit to be thankful for today. Earlier, it was revealed that female leads Ciri and Yennefer will be played by actors Freya Allan and Anya Chalotra, respectively. Now, it seems that Netflix has decided to let the ‘cast’ out of the bag, as the streaming service has just revealed the majority of the cast for the upcoming TV adaptation.
The news comes by way of Netflix’s official Twitter account, which had some playful banter with its alternate account, ‘See What’s Next.’ After a loving nudge from the latter, Netflix revealed seven new cast reveals, alongside the fresh Ciri and Yennefer reveals and the previously confirmed casting of Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia. Check out the tweet below:
Sabrina is Therica Wilson-Read. Millie Brady joins as the outcast Princess Renfri. The druid Mousesack is played by Adam Levy, and Queen Calanthe's husband, the knight Eist, will be played by Björn Hlynur Haraldsson. Tissaia, head of the magical academy, is MyAnna Buring.

Here’s the full list of the revealed cast members for Netflix’s ‘The Witcher’ series:
- Geralt of Rivia – Henry Cavill

- Yennefer – Anya Chalotra
- Queen Calanthe – Jodhi May
- Fringilla – Mimi Ndiweni
- Sabrina – Therica Wilson-Read

One notable omission is that of a villain for the series, who has neither been named nor cast. The only clue we have is thanks to a recent audition script leak, which suggests that the villain for the series’ first season may be Vilgefortz, a sorcerer whose lust for power drives him to acquire Ciri’s blood due to her relation to Lara Dorren, an Elven sorceress. Thankfully, with the majority of the cast revealed, we shouldn’t have to wait much longer to find out who the big bad is going to be.
