July is drawing to a close and that means the long hours of browsing through movie and TV selections is about to get a whole lot easier. As the streaming company tends to do every month, Netflix August 2017 will add a massive amount of popular films to its expansive video library, as well as a few bits of original programming. The most anticipated of them include Marvel’s Defenders team-up, the live-action anime adaptation Death Note, and the third season of the action animation Voltron: Legendary Defender.

Early arrivals to Netflix August 2017 will include the sci-fi kung-fu stylings of The Matrix trilogy, Tim Burton‘s headless horseman story Sleepy Hollow, the strange-but-compelling reincarnation tale Cloud Atlas, and a great many others. Newer releases making their debut throughout the month are the McDonald’s restaurant origin The Founder, the animated animal competition Sing, and the clever afterlife sitcom The Good Place.

These new additions will also mean the ushering out of a large amount of other titles, a few of which are seen as fan-favorites. DC’s animated cartoons Justice League, Justice League Unlimited, and Young Justice will be notably leaving Netflix August 2017, much to fans’ disappointment. Seth MacFarlane‘s American Dad! will also be taking an exit, as well as raunchy Seth Rogen comedies Zack and Miri Make a Porno and Superbad. There other big titles leaving as well, so best to get watching before they’re gone.

The last month has been aplenty with Netflix news, with Castlevania getting a second season and several other game-based anime coming down the pike, including an Assassin’s Creed adaptation. We also heard about ‘Simpsons‘ Creator Matt Groening’s new show, and of learned of a policy that Christopher Nolan finds particularly “bizarre”.
